The race for the Prime Ministership and government is on tonight as Prime Minister Runa Calabresi-Halvorsen declared in the chamber of the Law Thing that she no longer felt she had the confidence of the house.

"Fellow members, I feel I have lost the confidence of the house, or do not have adequate confidence of this house. Therefore I have advised Her Majesty the High Queen, to dissolve this house and hold elections on the thirtieth." - Runa Calabresi Halvorsen in the House.

Calabresi-Halvorsen made the statement to a shocked Law Thing chamber this evening after visiting Her Majesty the High Queen at Castle Winter and Jarls Hall.

Following the statement in the chamber Calabresi-Halvorsen spoke to The Torch and explained why she was advising the High Queen for an early election.

"I feel that following the abysmal session where the Uskorian Law Enforcement Act, Ministry for Civil Defence Act and Budget was passed only by playing parliamentary trickery that I had lost the confidence of the House and therefore had to advise Her Majesty to dissolve the Law Thing and hold elections early." - Runa Calabresi Halvorsen.

The Uskorian Torch spoke to Her Majesty the High Queen about what proroguing and dissolving Uskor's Law Thing means.

"Put simply, I received advice from the Prime Minister to prorogue and dissolve the Law Thing, as she felt she had lost the confidence of the chamber. As a monarch I could have

asked another member to form government such as the leader of the opposition, and indeed there is parliamentary precedent to do so, however I suspected that the Lord van Nieuw Holland does not enjoy the confidence of the Law Thing, and as such new elections must be held" Her Majesty said to our report.

In layman's terms Prime Minister Calabresi-Halvorsen feels that she doesn't have the support of the Law Thing and therefore as nobody else does either we must go to the polls.

Tonight at around Six PM the High Queen dropped the writ for the election and issued letters patent that prorogue and dissolved the Law Thing.

The election is scheduled for the 30th of July 2020.
