Election Results 2020: Calabresi-Halvoursen not conceding!

The 2020 election has just concluded with a shock that went against opinion polls which had

the Labour Party as a contender to win the majority of votes to the Law Thing (Legislative Council).

The Labour party came in second with 26.7 percent of the party list vote, whilst the winner of the party list vote was the anti austerity People's Party which won 33.3% of the vote.

Long time Prime Minister Runa Calabresi-Halvorsen tonight refused to concede defeat.

"The Uskorian Labour party still feels it has a chance of securing the prime ministership, if its fellow parties agree to a coalition" - Runa Calabresi-Halvorsen

Asked if she was willing to concede at this stage the Prime Minister emphatically said no she would not until she had tried negotiations with other parties. The full results included two additional evening up votes for the major parties (Labour and People's) that allowed the results to equal 350 votes in the Law Thing.

Full election results are:

• People's Party 33.33% - 117 Votes - 2 Provisional Delegates

• Labour Party 26.7% - 94 Votes - 1 Provisional Delegate

• Progressive Citizens Party 20% - 70 Votes - 2 Provisional Delegates

• Kellie the Guide Dog 13.3% - 46 Votes - 1 Delegate

• Independent List 6.7% - 23 Votes - 1 Provisional Delegate
