Uskor's capitial city and largest will be in isolation for at least two week following an emergency meeting involving the Jarl of Ny-Troms (formerly Denton) Hold, and prominent residents of the city.
This comes as Her Majesty the High Queen on the advice of Prime Minister declared a state of emergency for the whole of Uskor on Monday to deal with COVID-19 (Corona-virus)
At 16:30 Her Majesty the High Queen held a press conference in Castle Winter and Jarl's Hall.
Her Majesty first sought to reassure the people by saying "... first of all I wish to reassure you all that my government and governments around the world are working as best as they can to contain this virus. I know this is scary and times are frightening, we are seeing stories of people

dying, countries in lockdown, hoarding and empty shelves in the shopping centres. But rest assured that there is so so much light in the dark, people are working around the clock to help out their fellow people, and we will get through this. ...".
The High Queen also announced that Uskor has been in a State of Emergency since Monday with the monarch stating: "... On Monday on the advice of the Prime Minister, Jarl Claire Nymoria of Ny-Rogaland I declared a state of emergency of the maximum time allowable under the constitution to deal with this virus emergency. ...".
High Queen Charlotte also introduced further measures to combat the spread of the virus which include:
A two week isolation period for the city of Freyavik. (citizens will only be able to leave and enter with the permission of the Jarl of Ny-Troms, all non-citizens are not permitted during the isolation period to enter Freyavik with the exception of foreign emergency services personnel attending to the citizens when required.)
Fines of ƒ20,000 for Uskorians who fail to head health directives (either issued by Uskor, their doctor or the New South Wales Department of Health).
A nationwide directive to practice social distancing.
Closing of the borders to non Uskorian citizens and non Australian citizens
ID Checks and Passport checks at the border and within Uskor by the Royal Guards.
The High Queen further stated that Uskorians should practice good hygiene, social distancing and isolate themselves if they suspect they have COVID-19 or have contact with someone who does, she also advised to seek medical advice if people showed symptoms of COVID-19.
With regards to the all important Eurovision night and Autumn Storthing session Charlotte, the High Queen had the following to say "... Regarding the Eurovision night and the Autumn session of the Great Thing (Storþing) the Ministry for General Government Affairs and the Ministry for Culture are working to ensure that these can go ahead in a safe and enjoyable manner without causing the potential to cause COVID-19 spread. ...".
It remains to be seen at this time how the spread of COVID-19 will effect the planning and celebration of Uskor's 10th anniversary events across the remainder of the year.
