Summer Storthing and Legislative Council Sessions held

The Summer session of the Storthing or Great Assembly was held tonight in conjunction with the the Eurovision Australia Decides Party which is held in Freyavik.

The Storting voted on a number of minor issues and matters relating to the 10th anniversary celebrations to be held this year.

The official celebrations will kick off on the 26th of February with Her Majesty travelling to the British capital London and hoping to meet with other officials from friendly nations, followed on the 28th by speeches by the High Queen, Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.

Her Majesty is expected to set sail to the high Scandinavian Arctic later on the 28th for a week long expedition along the Scandinavian coast.

Other celebrations planned include Her Majesty's Masked Ball and the Royal Feast both planned for latter this year (August and November respectively).

During the session of the Legislative Council held before the meeting of the Storthing it was voted to de-merge the fire and civil defence services and to create the First Aid Service, it was reaffirmed that Uskor's politicians still wish for Uskor to remain neutral.

Her Majesty the High Queen took the opportunity of the Storthing to appoint The Right Honourable Dame Jelina von Mind as the new Chief Justice of the Council of Justice of the Commonwealth, making von Mind the senior most judicial official in Uskor besides Her Majesty herself.

Concurrently Her Majesty also appointed von Mind a Sergeant at Law and a Knight Commander of the Royal Charlotte Order and Companion of the Order of Uskor.

Her Majesty also appointed Her Excellency Keira Danger as the Ambassador to Australia and Consul to Wollongong and the Australian Queer Community.

Her Majesty also appointed Keira Danger to the Royal Charlotte Order as a Lieutenant of the order.
