Her Majesty the High Queen unveiled a new honours system today in Freyjavik.

Speaking to a small audience in Jarls Hall and Castle Winter, Her Majesty said that it was the first time that Uskor has an honours system that can be understood and recognised by all Uskorians and interested external parties.

The new honours system replaces the hodgepodge and ad hoc system of honouring people in

Uskor.

This reform also for the first time includes Uskor's noblity, formally including it within a legal framework for the first time since the fall of the communist regime in 2017.

It also outlines roughly what a Jarl is within Uskor and how the Jarls derive their power from the High Queen, in this case it is through legislation and letters patent.

The new honours system replaces the old honours systems and according to Her Majesty's office those under the old systems are no longer permitted to use post nominal titles but may retain any pre nominal titles like Sir or Dame.

This is Her Majesty the High Queen's first official project in her role as High Queen since her hospitalisation in August this year.

It also comes in the lead up to the end of the regency on October 01 2019 when Her Majesty will resume full authority of her office.

The new honours system can be found in the booklet "It's an Honour: The Uskorian Honours System 2019 Refresh and Overhaul".
