The Commonwealth of Uskor has voted to remain in the GUM tonight after a campaign that saw the Landtag vote unanimously to hold a referendum to leave the GUM.

Uskorian lead delegate and leader of the Uskorian People's Party Charlotte Katrinsdoittir stated that [she is] "very pleased with this result, it shows that the Uskorian people wanted to

highlight the difficulties for states in the South Pacific-Tasman region to interact fully with the GUM and that the Uskorian people and Government are not pushovers for Europeans and North Americans".

Katrinsdoittir also stated that "I look forward to continuing to work for Uskor's interests and those of peace and intermicronational diplomacy and cooperation moving forward from this vote".

Prime Minister Inspector Claire Nymoria (Labour) who was a supporter of the leave campaign stated "This is Uskorian democracy in action and whilst I am disappointed the Uskorian Government under my Prime Ministership shall honour the wishes of the people".

The vote also followed through on the idea to change the Uskorian flag by adding a Southern Cross after much controversy surrounding the image of the Southern Cross.

Both Katrinsdoittir and Nymoria where pleased with the result claiming that the Southern Cross must be "wrestled back from far right racist wankers" and that "we shouldn't be ceding a damn symbol to the far right at all".

The Commonwealth of Uskor recognises that Uskor resides upon stolen land and recognises that Uskorian sovereignty and that of the indigenous people can co-exist, further more we recognise the genocide committed against them.
