At around 19:00hrs on the 4th of October 2018 Her Majesty the High Queen dropped the writs for an election of the Landtag (National Assembly).

The Royal Commission for Elections ( Königliche Wahlkommission, Stats Valmyndigheten) has officially opened up the race for party nominations and individuals may either nominate or be written in to the ballot by the electors.

The three parties of the Fatherland Union immediately nominated, those parties being:

The National Flag of Uskor

The Labour Party (Big Tent Leftist), led by Inspector-General Claire Nymoria

The People's Party (anti capitalist, royalist) led by Her Majesty the High Queen

The Progressive Citizens Party (social democratic) led by Group Officer Jordan van Niew Holland

It is expected that Robert von Illawarra will nominate the Independent List Party (Leftist) within the coming hours.

The election however will not determine who forms government, but if the party of the Prime Minister fails to gain the confidence of the Landtag then convention states that they shall tender their resignation to Her Majesty the High Queen.

In addition to the Landtag elections there is a referendum to change the way the Landtag is elected to include seats appointed by Her Majesty the High Queen and to include percentages of votes to how many votes or delegates a party or independent member may have.

A copy of the writ can be viewed here:
